The Company
Recyclr is a waste management technology company building digital tools for carriers ahead of the UK's 2026 Defra mandate — the regulation that ends paper-based waste tracking nationwide. The team has closed its seed round and is pre-launch, with a database of 12,000 UK carriers indexed and ready for rollout.
My Role
I joined as Non-Executive Director and hands-on engineer - advising on product strategy and technical architecture while contributing directly to the build. It's the kind of role I take when the problem is interesting, the team is strong, and the technical decisions matter.
The Opportunity
The waste industry runs on paper. Duty of care notes, transfer records, compliance documentation - all manual, all fragile. The 2026 mandate forces digital adoption across every carrier in the UK. Recyclr is building the platform that makes that transition simple.
